got a die casting setup that’s a little picky, is this valve meant for that kind of work?
Question by: Jimmy J on Jan 15, 2026, 5:38 PM
For die casting and foundry equipment, this Vickers DG4V series directional control valve is a common fit since it is built for three or four way directional control and is called out for die casting, presses, and primary metal type applications.

flow rate on this one is 80 LPM, but what all can it actually be used on, like is it just machine tools or does it cover other equipment too?
Question by: Rex W on Jul 11, 2025, 4:27 PM
Covers quite a bit of ground actually. This valve sees use across die casting and foundry setups, machine tools, marine and offshore applications, presses, primary metal and paper use, test equipment and simulation rigs, and turbine control systems including wind, steam, and water. The 80 liter per minute flow rate is well matched to mid-range industrial circuits, so it fits comfortably in a lot of those environments without being overkill or undersized.
