Reckon this valve could handle runnin' steady in a die castin' setup?

Designed for demanding industrial hydraulic circuits, this Vickers valve is well-suited for die casting and foundry equipment applications.

flow rate on this one says 80 litres per minute -- is that enough for most press and machine tool setups or do bigger rigs usually need something higher?
Question by: Tony R on Mar 14, 2026, 4:28 PM
For the majority of press and machine tool applications, 80 litres per minute is right in the range where most single-stage directional valves operate. Heavy-duty presses running very large cylinders at high cycle rates can push past that ceiling, but a good portion of machine tool and press circuits are designed well within that limit. If your system demand is close to or above 80 LPM, you'd want to size up, but for moderate to mid-range tooling and press work this valve fits without much issue.
