Product Questions & Answers

got a die casting setup that needs a directional valve, is this DG4V one a decent fit for that kind of work
Question by: Howard W on Jun 26, 2025, 7:35 PM
For die casting and foundry applications, this valve is a common style of fit since it is a DG4V directional control valve built for industrial service and it is listed for die casting and foundry use along with presses, machine tools, and primary metal work.

flow rate on this one is listed at 80 liters per minute, that enough for press and die casting work or is it gonna be cutting it close?
Question by: Bobby M on Apr 10, 2025, 7:37 PM
For press machinery and die casting applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate. The DG4V series was built with exactly those environments in mind, along with foundry use and primary metal use, so the flow capacity lines up well with what those setups typically demand. As long as your system requirements fall within that ceiling, you should be in good shape.

Would this valve hold up okay in a die casting setup?
Question by: Pete T on Apr 5, 2026, 4:18 PM
Absolutely, this Vickers valve is well-suited for die casting and foundry applications, as well as machine tools, marine/offshore equipment, and press machinery.
